Hello World! How To Loot?

The real game, yes. Not some fake ad again as you might expect 😉

Why did we make it? Well because we were tired watching all these fake ads! Like every big game dev company in the world considered their duty to make a fake ad where some metal pins/rods are holding water/lava/gold/a hero you name it and you need to carefully think about how to move the pins in a way that everyone survive and get the gold, well I'm sure you know the story. Clicking the banner you usually had been taken to a strategy game, a battler, a MOBA game or whatever, anything but the game players wanted to play when they saw the ad 🙂

And we were among those players! And we decided to actually make it because it seemed like a nice concept which could, if spiced with additional mechanics, a nice story and characters and many other things we value in A42 Games, turn into a really good game. And the COVID situation played on our side in a way that we had to sit at home even more that usual and really dig into development. And so after about 2 months of 10-12 hours of daily development (no weekends) we released the first chapter of the game on Android and iOS ( https://howtoloot.a42games.com/ ).

Did we achieve the goal of turning the concept into a nice game - well it's up to you to decide 😉
